Here’s what I’ve learned about the 12th century from watching Boz play Assassin’s Creed.

    • Jumping was a socially unacceptable behavior.
    • Climbing was even more socially unacceptable and was punishable by death.
    • Groping people in crowds was fine.
    • The concept of horse ownership was not yet understood.
    • Conveniently placed piles of hay were part of a kingdom-wide suicide prevention initiative.
    • Scholars walked in formation and often had one extremely well-armed member.
    • The middle person on a bench could never be charged with any crime.
    • Children were forbidden from appearing in public.
    • Begging and rabble rousing were fine, but ordinary citizens could be menaced without reprisal.
    • Groups of vigilantes were required to have one shirtless member.

    1. Ha! Don’t forget: out-of-sight, out-of-mind.

    2. Ha.
