Worth reading: Sorry I Shot You, I Was Trying to Sprint by Matthew Gallant over at The Quixotic Engineer. Matthew has a chart up comparing the control schemes of the four biggest FPSs out there right now.
Depending on what game you’re playing, hitting X will pick something up, taunt, use equipment, or reload.
Matthew is calling for consistency.
While we’re at it, can we get together on drift turning? How about how ladders work?
And in real life, can the UN mandate shower controls or something? Why does every vacation I take require a shower tutorial?
