I just read Frank Miller’s Ronin (1983) and the AI in that book, Virgo, is basically GLaDOS (except drawn in that messy Frank Miller style). I’m not sure if the connection is intentional, but if you’re done with Portal and need more independent, free-spirited (and vaguely threatening) AIs, check the book out.
