So yesterday I get this e-mail.
Hi Terry,
What I’m looking for is a mention of my client (www.testfreaks.com) in one of your regular posts. What you write in the post is totally up to you, what I want is a link to my client’s website in a relevant post with a relevant anchor text. You’d basically be doing what you’re doing already the only difference would be that you show my client to your visitors and you’ll get compensation for the help. I am willing to do more than one post if you are interested. The payment will be transferred via Paypal once the post has been published. I could transfer half before and half after if you need some insurance.
How does that sound?
Best regards,
Will
Of course, I was intrigued. It’s not often that someone offers to pay me for something I write. Actually, that has never ever happened – and frankly, I could use the money – I guess. How much is a link worth anyway?
You have to admit, Will offers a convincing argument: “You’d basically be doing what you’re doing already the only difference would be that you show my client to your visitors and you’ll get compensation for the help.” I mean, that’s mostly true and it only sounds a little sleazy. Plus he’s offering half up front – and probably double once we get to Alderaan.
But I have to wonder if I get paid for one post, would people think I was getting paid for every post. Could you really trust my opinion if I started peddling Game Couch’s ass? Doesn’t it seem better if my posts are my own and aren’t sponsored?
So Will, I’m going to have to say no. But hey, you got this one for free!

I found this site a few days ago when I was looking for reviews of a flatbed scanner for all my old film negatives. I found the site really, really (What Will? Oh, I get $5 for every “really” I use…) really, really, really useful. Seriously.

I have not gotten an email like that… lol.
I really do need a paying job though. 20 years old, and most of my jobs are volunteer work :)
Lol, I’m getting sidetracked from my studying! 0.o
